Hello!!!
Do you like coffee? Do you like coffee makers? You don’t like either of these things, but you liked the turquoise colour? Well, this illustration is running out of time and will soon no longer be available. I’m going to close the edition after almost 6 years. But the story of this coffee maker is a bit longer.
Shortly after I posted this illustration on the internet, I found it on Aliexpress. I was very upset. I tried for a while to get it removed but in the end I had to give up. It is impossible to fight against counterfeiting on Aliexpress. In the end I understood that we are not competition and I can say that today Mr. Aliexpress and I live happily together. They are in charge of mass production and I am dedicated to slow and artisanal work.
You can also buy it MUCH cheaper on Aliexpress. I think for about €2.

INSPIRATION & CREATIVITY
Ukiyo-e
Takeji Asano
Look at those cheerful colours.
Such simple, honest and well-drawn lines.
Look at the little boat sailing away.
And the reflections in the water…
And those touches between red and orange on the rocks. They don’t seem to be there, but they are what make the drawing vibrate.
What a pity I can’t steal this drawing from Takeji Asano and sign it as mine.
A landscape
Path with fences and flowers
This is a fence as it should be.
Here in Valencia, the most popular thing is metal fences with a very bright green plastic over them to hide who knows what. At home, we are very much against green plastic.
Craftmanship
Magari Things
Magari Things has a workshop in Dénia (Alicante, Spain) and they do wonders with ceramics. They have a stand in the Mercat del Riurau but they also sell online. If you buy something from them, tell them you’re coming from me, I’ll see if I can get a cup of coffee for free.
Digital Nomadism
Caravan
If living in a caravan is one of your dreams, do it soon, because life will make things a little more difficult later. Don’t do it soon, do it NOW! And make it beautiful. Send me some photos of your new life. Here’s a link to a digital nomad who has made a career out of living in his caravan.

Life Hacks
The order of the cutlery
As an expert on the subject, let me instruct you on the correct order of storing cutlery in the drawer: first teaspoons, then spoons, forks and finally knives. From the roundest and nicest to the sharpest. You can start from the left or from the right. It doesn’t matter too much. The result is the same whether you go left or right.
Animales
FUGU, Puffer Fish
It is a very curious little animal and we will always remember it from the Simpsons episode. There is often confusion between puffer fish and porcupine fish. The one in the photo is the porcupine fish, which is more striking.
Fashion
Cowboys
Those of us who live in villages may not have heard about it yet and this is the new fashion for very masculine men in Madrid, Barcelona and Sitges. I’ll leave you the link to the online store in case you don’t want to be the last to buy that thing that goes over your pants. I’m going to wait a bit. In Oliva I don’t know if it will be very popular.
Pseudoscience
Bates METHOD
Let’s see… you can’t be an artist without flirting with pseudoscience. Please allow me. The Bates Method is a series of techniques to recover the quality of vision. Without surgery or medication. Just exercises and practice. I did it for a while and it worked very well for me. The difficult part is consistency and eliminating bad habits.
A fruit
Mangostan
This Christmas Ali was given a bag with some kind of stuff with a gelatinous texture. It was made from mangosteen. It looked like candy but it was just the fruit. It didn’t look dehydrated. It was something else. Like candy but better. I’ve been looking for it on the internet but I can’t find anything. It was DELICIOUS. If anyone knows it, please let me know. I hope the 12 hours I spend on each newsletter are of some use.
