Ibiza is one of the great European icons of hippy, trance and electronic culture. A top tourist destination since the 1960s that has captivated several generations of lovers of hedonism, freedom and alternative culture. This drawing represents the historic center of Ibiza town, one of the most recognizable images of the island.
ABOUT DALT VILA
Dalt Vila is the intramural neighborhood and historical core par excellence of Eivissa. Its imposing walled enclosure rises on a hill and is visible from many kilometers away, by land and by sea. The construction of the walls was the decision of King Philip II (16th century), who gave Eivissa a strategic role in his defense policy in the Mediterranean and ordered the fortress to be built to stop the constant invasions and plundering by Barbary pirates. Decorative framed paintings of Ibiza and the Balearic Islands based on original illustrations printed on special art reproduction paper prints using premium long lasting and stable inks. This watercolor painting was made in situ and finished in the studio with a slight digital adjustment. It is a perfect poster for decorating beach houses and apartments as well as Mediterranean, chic, boho and modern style apartments. The image, which is not based on a photograph, was handcrafted and is available to buy online in this same store where you can select various standard sizes such as A5, A4, A3, A2 and A1. Almost all frames from Ikea, Leroy Merlin and many others fit perfectly to the measurements. In the illustration appears the typical Pitiusa and Balearic architecture with the prominence of white and the typical and traditional urban disorder of the islands and the Mediterranean.
