Print with a version of the painting The Girl with a Pearl Earring originally made in 1665 by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer and remixed in 2019.
This illustration is a slightly cubist version of the painting The Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer. A much more synthetic version than the original. According to wikipedia, “recent writings about Vermeer suggest that the image was a tronie, a name given in Holland in the seventeenth century to peculiar or expressive effigies, for decorative use, which were not intended to be an identifiable portrait and that in many cases painters produced to demonstrate their expertise. “
