Seeing a grandfather on mobylette was quite common a few years ago. At least in Valencia. It was the first generation of motorized and there were at least three modalities:
1. Grandpa with mobylette. Normally with a basket (or crate) and tools to go to work in the orchard.
2. Grandfather with dog. The same as before but with a dog that was balancing masterfully so as not to fall. Dogs of those that bark a lot. Here they were called rateret valencià.
3. Grandfather with wife. The woman was behind and sitting sideways. It also required some balance on her part.
On some very special occasions you could see grandpa, grandma and the dog together. It was wonderful.
