Framing an illustration

I do not currently offer a framing service (except in very, very special cases) so here are a couple of recommendations to make the process as simple and pleasant as possible.

Steps to frame an illustration:

  1. Write down the dimensions of your illustration

You will find the measurements directly in your Account > Orders. If you can't find it you can also use a ruler.

  2. Passepartout

In case you want to put passepartout I recommend using a white or neutral colors. If you don't want passepartout I think it's perfect.

  3. Marco

Decide on the style and color of the frame. I usually use the simplest (without decoration) and light wood tones.

  4. Framing store

Choose the framing store. Below are two options

  5. Order the frame

Once all the steps have been decided, the only thing left to do is to pass the measurements to the person who is going to make the frame and...

  6. That's it!

Where to order a frame

The Picture Factory - ONLINE

I haven't tried it yet but it looks like a pretty serious company, with a wide catalog and very reasonable prices.

PROS:
- Custom-made frames.
- Many options.
- Very reasonable prices.

CONS:
- As far as I know they use methacrylate instead of glass. You may need to change it in the future as it scratches quite easily.

Web: www.lafabricadelcuadro.com
This frame is quite good.

Neighborhood stores - OFFLINE

It would be the ideal option but it is not always easy to find one that is close to us.

PROS
- Direct and personal treatment.
- They can help you choose.
- Circular economy.

CONS
- You may not have any nearby.

Other options

In Leroy Merlin they sell frames. Not very good but they could be useful to get out of the way if you need it urgently.
