ABOUT THE MOORISH MOUSE:
It is a small rodent with a rounded snout, small eyes and ears. It is easily distinguished from the common mouse (Mus musculus) because of its coloration and because its tail is much smaller than its body. Unlike the latter, the brown mouse does not cohabit with humans and occupies typically sub-humid and semi-arid Mediterranean environments. Its low water requirements allow it to occupy more arid environments inaccessible to other rodents, occupying open spaces, areas of scrubland, rocky areas with herbaceous vegetation and rain-fed crops.
JAPANESE INSPIRATION
Each piece is made following a long work process inspired by the technique and style of Japanese ukiyo-e prints, using traditional materials such as watercolor, ink, brushes and pens. Learn more about the artist
