Herons are not my animal favorite but they are fascinating.
Yesterday I was doing the drawing above in the Grau de Gandia and suddenly I saw a heron approaching.
He planted himself next to one of the fishermen and stood there as if he were one of the crew. Without moving. Watching them check the nets. I imagine he was hoping to receive some prize.
They all knew each other.
The heron was calm.
The fishermen paid no attention to him.
After a while she left but I had time to immortalize her.
The ports are also fascinating.

The novelty I bring for this Legendary Auction is a view of Cala de Pinets in Benissa. Not only is it a very, very special illustration but it is the most special of all the ones I have published since we started with the auctions about two or three months ago.
What happens... is that what makes it so special has not yet arrived... There is a person, who for now we will call C. H. who has done «something» to it. And that something is not finished. Not yet...
Cala Pinets will be available for 37 days. And it will be very Legendary. You will see. You may very well want to have it but only one person can have it because it is an original illustration. Unique. Unrepeatable. LEGENDARY.

Let's see if I tell it well:
When he was young he was told about a place where people would open their hearts. So he contacted whoever he had to contact, took a few days off and went there.
There a van was waiting for him with a few other people. They started up, drove and after several hours left them in the middle of a desert. They had just enough to last a few days and no vehicle to get out of there. The van left as soon as it dropped them off.
And they began to play the drum.
From morning to night.
They did nothing else: in the middle of a desert, drumming all day long.
At times it was unclear to him whether he had made a mistake in going there. But he could not leave. So he played the drum.
...
A few days later. While playing the drum, in the middle of the desert. He started to cry. A little later, the one next to him also began to cry. And the other one... and the other one... They all ended up crying.
That day she understood what it meant to open her heart. And her life changed forever.

In February 2025 I started auctioning original illustrations through this website. The first auction had a very modest result (a bid of 10€). The second one had more participants. The third one a little more. And so on. Each new auction is generating more interest and participation.

The running gag is a very interesting humorous tool that will be a trend in 2025. It is a joke, joke or joke that is repeated. The good running gag is not very funny the first time, it is when it is repeated that it gains strength. But it is not without its dangers. The Cruz y Raya one is «muu cansiiinooo». There was also the rhyming with the five (every morning I wake up I thank life that it is no longer used).
