The Cape Nao lighthouse is located in Cabo de la Nao, at the southern end of the Gulf of Valencia, in the municipality of JáveaAlicante. Of octagonal section, it has a height of 20 meters and is located about 122 meters above sea level. Its light reaches a distance of 23 miles, whose nocturnal signal consists of a continuous series of flashes.
Although the work was auctioned on July 1, 1914, the lighthouse was put into operation on May 26, 1928. This delay was due to the fact that a road had to be built to carry the materials.
On the promontory of Cape Nao, before the lighthouse was built, on December 29, 1902, wireless telegraphy tests were carried out between the peninsula and the mainland. Ibizawith a system designed by the Valencian Julio Cervera.
JAPANESE INSPIRATION
