The most difficult place to conquer

Today, with all the technological advances that have been appearing (and will continue to appear), there is an increasingly difficult place to conquer.

That place is «here and now».
Or we could also call it disconnecting. Or better yet, reconnect.

This summer I have realized that the sea makes things easier. Maybe it's the sound of the waves, the brightness of the sea, seeing some little fish... The Mediterranean. How wonderful.

The sketch above I am using as a reference to paint a canvas. My first painting for a very long time. It will be auctioned soon. I'll let you know...

About my last course ARTE MINDSETS

...at the end I didn't explain why my last course is called Arte Mindsets...

Mindset It comes to mean something like «mentality», I would have put it in Spanish but in English it sounded more appropriate.

The thing is that the environment influences our mindset. The environment is the people we talk to, the books we read, the house and city we live in, our neighbors.

The on-screen content we consume... Even furniture and clothing influence our mindset.

Those who like sports, fashion or politics find it fairly easy to find stimuli that work in that direction. But for art it's not so simple.

And this is where my last course comes into play.

Art Mindesets is a sequence of 7 stimulating emails that will help surround you with the MAGIC of art so you can create wonderful objects.

The mess with the 500 MRRKs banknotes

Let me put you in context: By registering on my website you can accumulate MRRKs, the workshop's currency, which you can then use to make purchases.

Yesterday I was printing a few bills like the one above. Just a few. As an experiment. I had always been attracted to the idea of designing banknotes.

I use 100% cotton paper with archival inks. Then I stamp, stamp and sign them.

They look VERY nice.

When I designed them, a few months ago, the MRRKs were worth one tenth of a euro. That is, the 500 bill in the image would be worth 50€.

So far so good...

The thing is that last week, in order to facilitate the conversion, the web was programmed so that the MRRK were worth the same as euros. 1€ = 1 MRRK. But I hadn't taken one thing into account: the bills I was printing were no longer worth 50 but 500€...

And now I don't know what to do with them?
I will see if Wim Hof let me pay its activities with MRRKs...

So this Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
I open the workshop to visitors

Joe Vitale and the book he didn't want to publish

Today I want to tell you a story.
A true story of Joe Vitale.

It reads as follows:

Back in the 1990s, Joe Vitale was a freelance marketer in the United States.

He had gone from being almost a beggar to publishing several books and having some recognition in the industry. At that time he was still not well known but he was making his way with some solvency.

One day he attended the conference of a prestigious marketer with whom he had a relationship. Before the event began, Joe handed him a manuscript of his latest book. It had been sitting in his drawer for some time and he didn't dare to publish it. He didn't know how it would fit. It was a daring book. Risky...

Shortly after the lecture began, his colleague introduced Joe Vitale to the audience and listed the titles of his books.

With each title he read, he received more applause. Joe Vitale had made the audience fall in love.

When he finished reading them all he took out the manuscript Joe had given him earlier, turned to the audience and said:

- Here I have your next book...
It's called «Spiritual Markerting»...

And there was silence...
The title left everyone in shock...

...

... a timid applause was heard. Then another. And another. And another one... Until it ended in a standing ovation.

At the end of the conference there was a line of people asking for a copy of the book. They only knew the title. Nothing more...

Two words.
What a great Joe!

Subscription names

Today I want to tell you a little more about the workshop subscriptions I told you about in yesterday's email: Names.

Corriol Camanegre. This subscription is dedicated to the Corriol, a little bird on our beaches that can be seen scampering along the shore with the swaying of the waves. It is a very nice little bird.

Lone Wolf. Mythical animal that leaves the herd to travel the world alone.

Wild Bear. A subscription for those who are made for adventure.

Did you know that Bernat means Wild Bear? It's a shame that we don't use the literal meaning of our names. If you don't know yours, look it up!

Great Spirit. Tum tum tum tum tum tum....

The names turned out nice, didn't they?

The best thing about these subscriptions is that every euro you spend is earned in MRRKs (the workshop currency). You can use them on future purchases (they do not expire).

We will be seeing more things.

I asked the Great Spirit

What a WONDER! The yesterday's auction Sunday was magical. Incredible. A gift.

The BEST of October!

Here's why:

Last night, at the end of the auction, I saw that there were no bids so I asked the Great Spirit (which is what we call talking alone in the temazcals) a question.

I asked him what the next steps would be and the answer was blunt: you are asking me to keep raising prices.

And so it shall be done!

Bollit de Peix remains in reserve for future auctions.

How much stress do you need to endure to achieve your life goals?

The list of things that generate stress could be like this: Getting up earlier than one would like, meeting work goals, imbalances between income and expenses, strict schedules, traffic jams, children's extracurriculars, pending tasks, etc....

Life goals: housing, food, professional success, partner, children, leisure time, fashion, cars... Everyone has their own...

The key would be in:

- Achieve greater results with less stress.
- Release the resulting stress.

I think I have turned out to be an artist.

My heiress has made me this portrait above. I think I'm an artist.

At home, we follow these creative rules very closely. (in case you need them):

- Never correct, make suggestions or point out mistakes.
- Do not ask them to draw things.
- Opinions are only given when requested.
- Complimenting a drawing is optional, but if it is sincere it is always welcome.

There is a sixth rule but this one is more lax:

- You must respond Marroiak when I ask Who is the Best Artist in the World?
